Alluvial Hill Hops

, a subsidiary of West Peak Brewing Company, is a small-scale organic hop farm in Oregon.

History:

Conceived in Novato, California in 2010 by Matt Walker and Tony Williams. The first hop rhizomes, from organic sources, were planted in 2010 in Selma, Oregon. Additional plantings in 2011 and 2012 used a combination of new organic rhizomes and cuttings from the previous year.

Operations:

We strive to practice sustainable farming techniques. We are currently following the guidelines in the USDA's National Organic Program (Title 7, Part 205). Our trellis poles are hand peeled fir trees thinned from the surrounding forest on the property. The hopyard is situated in the Kerby soil formation and consists of alluvial loam soils.
